A girl unconsciously brings chaos to a high end restaurant just by being in that time of the month.

A couple of young people go to a notorious English restaurant to dine. The ambience is strange: peculiar characters, minimal dialogue and quirky clothing. All around something feels slightly off, the background’s pleasant music does not coincide with the general customer and staff environment.

Using humour, we intend to ‘play’ with the discomfort associated with menstruation.

The overall style of the film pretends to have cinematic warming visuals and colours.

Our short’s visual references are mainly inspired by Jean Pierre Jeunet, Godard, Wes Anderson, and the aesthetic humor of the series The End of the F***ing World and the film Submarine. Also the literary aesthetic of Samuel Becketts’s books are incorporated. Finally, our colour references were taken from the photographer Aida Muluneh and her vibrant stills.
